5.9-sun top-bottom masa (tenchi-masa) board taken from a huge natural tree that is over 300 years old. Although it has rather broad grains, it is a rare board with a special pattern on the top side. The patterns on the sides are also interesting.
It was seasoned and dried for more than 35 years.
On the bottom there has been one crack that is mended with ume-ki (wood fill-in) technique. However, this part does not affect the value of the board, and will not cause any shape change.
Of course the legs are with hand carving, and the squares are drawn with sword graduation (tachi-mori) technique.
